Although students can do their pre-medical coursework at any accredited university, IAU College of Medicine strongly encourages students to consider completing their coursework at Texas A&M-Commerce, located near Dallas. The program lasts approximately two years (90 credit hours). Students who successfully complete this accelerated program are eligible to matriculate into our Four-Year M.D. Program on our St. Lucia campus.
Students applying to the pre-medical program must submit both the IAU College of Medicine application AND the Texas A&M-Commerce application to our admissions office in Dallas. Each application can be downloaded from our website. Upon acceptance into our program, IAU will then submit the prospective student's application to Texas A&M-Commerce. Overall acceptance into our program is contingent upon acceptance into Texas A&M-Commerce. Please note that intakes occur only for the Fall and Spring semesters for the pre-medical program.

To be eligible for promotion to our Four-Year M.D. Program, pre-medical students must have attained a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 for their undergraduate coursework and be recommended by their pre-medical advisor.
